Marksmanship Hunter raid consumables
The consumables checklist for a Marksmanship Hunter in TBC Classic: 12 lines, each naming what it is before it names the item, and why it is on the list.
What a Marksmanship Hunter brings to a raid
- flaskLasts two hours and survives death. The one buff you never have to re-apply.
- elixirCheaper than a flask, and you lose it when you die.
- foodWell-fed. Half an hour, and it goes when you do — eat after a wipe.
- potionFor mid-fight. Every potion shares one cooldown, so you get few of them.
- ammoYour shots. Turning up without them ends the night early.
- stoneGoes on your weapon. Bring the one your weapon type takes.
- scrollA few silver for a small stat buff. Easy to forget, easy to carry.
- foodWell-fed. Half an hour, and it goes when you do — eat after a wipe.
- runeMana back at the cost of health, without spending your potion.
- engineerSuper Sapper Charge (if Engineer)Engineering only. Extra damage nobody else brings.
- engineerGoblin Sapper Charge (if Engineer)Engineering only. Extra damage nobody else brings.
- drumsLeatherworking only, and it buffs the group around you.

How to read it
This checklist is not something this site measured. It is transcribed from Wowhead's own Hunter DPS guide, and it is a recommendation: 12 lines, 23 items, covering flask, elixir, food, potion, ammo, stone, scroll, rune, engineer, drums. Each line says what the thing IS before it names the item, because the question a Marksmanship Hunter arrives with is "why am I carrying this" rather than "what is it called".
Where a line offers several items joined by or, any one of them satisfies it; then means the second is the fallback when the first is out of reach. A flask lasts two hours and survives death, so it is the one buff a damage dealer never re-applies mid-night; battle and guardian elixirs are cheaper and go when you do. Every potion in the game shares one cooldown, which is why the list names few of them.
Skipping one is not a mistake — the list is deliberately thorough, and a night with the flask and the food is most of the way there. Every name opens Wowhead. The raid gear checker on this site reads the same guide when it asks whether a raider turned up buffed.
