Forever raid tools, in one page
Free tools for World of Warcraft: Forever — launches 2026-11-04; raids open 2026-12-09. The talent calculator is built and working today, from the beta client's own tables. The rest are the same programs that run this site's other half, waiting on the three things only a live game produces: realms, public logs, and gear somebody has actually worn.
The Forever Talent Calculator is the one door that is open — nine classes, three trees each, with a real combat simulator behind its Simulate button. Boss Loot names the three raids the roadmap gives and the day they open, and the Raid Gear Checker, the Raider Lookup, the Guild Lookup, the BiS Lists and Raid Consumables each say what they will show and what they wait on.
How it works, in full: How this site works.

Wowhead reports the Wailing Caverns' five-piece Embrace of the Viper set carries a hidden bonus, not shown on its tooltip, that turns a Druid wearing all five pieces into a snake form whose color varies by race and which has a unique stealth animation. No Blizzard page checked states this directly, though the outlet credits the detail to Blizzard Senior Game Designer Zirene.

Wowhead reports the Azeroth Commerce Authority reputation -- a Season of Discovery faction returning in Forever alongside the Horde's Durotar Supply and Logistics -- sells the Reins of the Pack Kodo, giving Alliance players their first Kodo mount outside Burning Crusade's Great Brewfest Kodo. Wowhead reports the Barrens rare spawns Humar the Pridelord, Swiftmane and Takk the Leaper can now drop loot granting a 2-piece set bonus that increases movement speed by 5% in the Barrens and Stonetalon Mountains, alongside the already-updated Defias Leather and Embrace of the Viper set bonuses. Blizzard's Legacy System post gives a point total per category of its 65 Legacy Challenges: Classes 27, Tradeskills 18, PvP 12, Dungeons 3, Raids 3 and Adventure 2; a single character can earn up to 29 of those points without creating a second character.
Blizzard's Legacy System post names the four Legacy Rewards available at launch: the Replica Ironforge Air Rifle toy, the Spectral Bear Cub pet, the Spectral Bear Tabard, and the Reins of the Spectral Bear mount.
Blizzard's Legacy System post says Legacy Challenges completed outside Hardcore won't show up in Hardcore, but a challenge earned in Hardcore grants credit in every other ruleset; since PvP Legacy Challenges can't be completed in Hardcore, that ruleset launches later with 12 Legacy Challenges of its own.
Both Skyborne variants share the passives Wind Blessed (increased melee, ranged and spellcasting Haste) and Elemental Insight (increased damage to Elementals), plus a shared Walk on Air glide. Windshaper Skyborne (Horde) additionally get Skysight, a run-speed boost, while High Order Skyborne (Alliance) get Read Ley Line, which boosts Health and Mana regeneration.
Wowhead reports the Deadmines drop Rockslicer now grants its wielder 30 charges to mine Copper, Tin, Silver and Iron nodes without the Mining profession; once the charges run out, the weapon stays equipped but loses that ability. No Blizzard page checked names this change.

Wowhead reports campfire buffs unlock after completing an early quest, The Great Outdoors; afterward a Campfire Nearby alert appears near any active campsite, and simply sitting there for one minute grants its buffs without grouping with whoever placed it. No Blizzard page checked states this directly.

Wowhead reports players found the Cozy Sleeping Bag quest chain, originally from Season of Discovery, available in the Forever beta; the reward lets a player lie down for a stacking 1%-per-minute experience buff up to 3%, plus bonus reagents and a 12-slot bag. No Blizzard page checked states this directly.

Wowhead reports that in Forever, buying a new spell rank for a mana-cost ability -- unlike melee abilities, which auto-update -- does not automatically replace the lower rank already on a player's action bars, so players must check their spellbook to confirm they are using the highest rank they own. No Blizzard page checked states this directly.

Wowhead's Legacy System rundown lists a Legacy Tree perk, Talented, that lets a character start gaining talent points at level 9 instead of level 10, while keeping that character's total capped at 51 talent points. No Blizzard page checked states this directly.

Wowhead reports that loot left behind in a dungeon is no longer lost -- the Steamwheedle Lost and Found, run by Rix Xizzix, now mails it to the player instead, a system returning from Season of Discovery. No Blizzard page checked states this directly.

Wowhead reports Beta testers found the First Mate Band, a new two-piece set dropping in part from Mr. Smite in the Deadmines, whose epic half -- the Band of the Better Half -- is itself a level-60 item, an early example of dungeon loot deliberately chasing players into much later content. No Blizzard page checked states this directly.

Wowhead first reported the hidden cast time before Auto Shot or a wand attack fires had been greatly reduced in Forever, making kiting easier and likely affecting PvP. Blizzard has since confirmed on the Beta forums that the shorter cast time is a bug, not an intended change, and said it will be fixed in an upcoming Beta build. No Blizzard page checked states this directly.
Blizzard's ruleset blog post says Hardcore characters live in a fully enclosed ecosystem, but a character that dies can transfer out to another ruleset, including PvP; progress from other rulesets does not flow back into Hardcore.

Wowhead reports Blizzard has removed WoW: Forever Beta access from players whose name violated naming policy, saying the new First/Last name field opened room for offensive combinations; a quoted Blizzard forum reply says affected players are emailed the specific name and can appeal. Wowhead's original datamining claimed a roughly 26% cut to the experience needed to reach level 60, but the outlet retracted the article after Blizzard clarified the datamined values came from a file not actually used by this build. Wowhead now says there are no changes to Forever's leveling experience requirements versus Classic.

Wowhead reports WoW: Forever's character panel now explains each stat in detail on hover -- including how Hit Chance and Critical Strike work now that both apply across every school instead of splitting by melee, spell and ranged -- and calls out tank-relevant goals like Defense Cap and Avoidance Cap. Wowhead reports, from an IGN Nordic interview with Senior Game Designer Michael Nuthals and Lead Game Designer Tim Jones, that Forever's servers track players you've crossed paths with before, so meeting someone again in the world is more likely. No Blizzard page checked states this directly.

Wowhead reports the default bank space has been doubled to 48 slots, with starting bag slots raised to 8 (from 6); an MMORPG interview with Senior Game Designer Josh Greenfield and Senior Art Director Jeff Parrott had earlier described the increase only as "twice or four times" Classic's size. No Blizzard page checked gives a specific number.
Wowhead reports the same MMORPG interview saying that from roughly level 10 to 15, killing a single enemy takes 10 to 15 seconds, and pulling three or more at once is likely fatal -- a deliberate move against players overpowering the leveling world. No Blizzard page checked states this directly.

Wowhead reports that BlizzCon demo footage (via community member MrGM) confirmed a barbershop for changing hairstyle and body type, with Stormwind's location confirmed and others likely; players can toggle high-definition models on or off while using it. Icy Veins reports First Aid, not Alchemy, will craft Healing Potions in Forever, using herbs, vials and cooking spices across six tiers from First Aid level 55 to 275; the outlet expects most or all classes to train First Aid as a result. No Blizzard page checked names this change.

Icy Veins reports Blizzard has confirmed addons will be part of Forever, sharing Mainline WoW's UI architecture and the same API restrictions introduced with Midnight so that addons don't gain too much power over the player's experience. The same report says Blizzard's built-in damage meter and cooldown manager are also coming to Forever; Wowhead's MMORPG interview writeup adds that the damage meter will be in for Beta but the Cooldown Manager likely will not, with a later addition planned.
Blizzard's own ruleset blog post confirms it directly: "On the PvP ruleset, players can only create characters for one faction" -- once an Alliance character exists there, a Horde one cannot follow, and vice versa. Icy Veins had reported the same restriction days earlier, framing it as similar to pre-Patch 3.2 PvP servers and meant to stop alts from scouting the enemy faction.
Blizzard's beta-live post says testers start with the Skyborne race and Zephras Isle zone, plus the Hall of Thanes dungeon (levels 13-18) and Ruins of Lordaeron dungeon (levels 15-20); more zones, dungeons and the new battleground open later in the beta.

Later in the beta, Blizzard will open the servers for several hours so that anyone can access the WoW: Forever beta during that window, calling the event a "Server Slam."

Blizzard's beta-live post says invitations go out regularly through the test to community veterans, press, fansites, friends and family, and to players who opted in; eligible digital bundle purchasers also gain access, though with a possible delay of up to 30 minutes.

Forever's new lighting needs RGBA16F UAV support in compute shaders, raising the minimum GPU architecture to AMD Graphics Core Next 1 (2012), NVIDIA Maxwell (2014) or Intel Skylake (2015); older cards such as the Radeon HD 6950 or GeForce GTX 760 are no longer supported.

Icy Veins reports Blizzard's Josh Greenfield said in a WoW Forever Q&A, "the short answer is no, we are not going to allow GDKP," continuing the ban already in place for Season of Discovery and the Classic Anniversary realms, to protect new players from a gold-buying barrier to entry and to curb real-money gold trading. Wowhead's liveblog of the same Q&A adds that Blizzard called past enforcement too lenient and plans to aggressively pursue and permanently ban gold buyers. No Blizzard page checked states this directly.
Wowhead reports Senior Game Designer Josh Greenfield (Aggrend) announced during Blizzard's live Q&A that Tarnished Undermine Reals -- a Season of Discovery currency spent on gear, toys, patterns and reagents -- are coming to WoW Forever, though how they'll be earned wasn't said. No Blizzard page checked states this directly.

Wowhead reports, from a But Why Tho? interview with Game Director Ion Hazzikostas and Vice President Holly Longdale, that Forever's regions will not be connected to each other and will receive staggered updates across time zones, coordinated around weekly resets and off-peak hours. No Blizzard page checked states this directly.

Wowhead's liveblog of Blizzard's live Q&A reports Forever is realmless but not regionless: Oceanic players are hosted on Oceania data servers that share the same US-wide auction house, and the game otherwise picks whichever data center suits a party best. No Blizzard page checked states this directly.

Blizzard's own naming blog post confirms it: every character has two name parts, and the combination "needs to be distinct within your region, rather than only within a single realm," with both parts checked together against the naming code of conduct so a restricted word can't be split across them. Wowhead's Q&A liveblog had already reported the same mandatory-second-name, region-wide shape days earlier, adding that the same full name cannot be reused across rulesets.
Wowhead's Q&A liveblog reports Blizzard devs saying every tier will have both a 10-player and a 20-player raid, with a single difficulty and no flex sizing; 40-player raids like Onyxia's Lair are coming but won't appear every tier. No Blizzard page checked states this directly.
Sources: Wowhead
Wowhead's Q&A liveblog reports Blizzard will not offer Rated PvP in Forever, instead using a new PvP track that resets each season or tier, with Honor gains rebalanced so players are not funneled into a single battleground. No Blizzard page checked states this directly.
Sources: Wowhead
Wowhead's Q&A liveblog reports Forever's transmog keeps a gear piece's silhouette (a plate chest needs a plate transmog), but lets a saved set store more than one armor piece per slot, so a character's appearance auto-swaps to the matching saved look when their armor type for that slot changes. No Blizzard page checked states this directly.

Icy Veins reports, citing Blizzard Principal Designer Chris Zierhut at BlizzCon's Hardcore panel, that a countdown UI gives players about three minutes' warning ("in 3:00 minutes...we're going to refresh the world around you") before the world refreshes them into a new phase layer, with a button to confirm early if they are already somewhere safe; built for Hardcore, it will be available to every ruleset. Wowhead separately describes a 5-minute warning with a "Refresh Now" button and a dismissible reminder near the chat box; the two outlets disagree on the exact warning time. Blizzard's own posts do not mention the feature.
Icy Veins reports the Skyborne descend from the Shen'dralar Highborne who settled Eldre'Thalas well before the War of the Ancients, but says they are explicitly not high elves despite that shared ancestry. Blizzard's own posts describe the Eldre'Thalas exodus but do not address a high-elf distinction.
Sources: Icy Veins
Icy Veins' lore rundown says the Shen'dralar Highborne settled Eldre'Thalas around 12,000 BDP and endured the War of the Ancients and Great Sundering around 10,000 BDP; the group later fractured when Prince Tortheldrin turned to Immol'thar for power, and the resulting conflict sent rebels fleeing Eldre'Thalas to strike the deal with wind elementals that lifted their land into Skywall. Blizzard's own Found Photos recap describes rebels fleeing Eldre'Thalas but names neither Tortheldrin nor Immol'thar.
Sources: Icy Veins
Icy Veins reports, citing Blizzard Principal Game Designer Kris Zierhut, that every raid boss will carry one or more rare, powerful chase items comparable to Burning Crusade's Dragonspine Trophy. Zierhut says the raid progression curve is being deliberately flattened so a new tier doesn't immediately make the previous tier's loot obsolete, unlike Molten Core after Blackwing Lair.

Icy Veins reports that Blizzard's Clay Stone, associate production director on WoW Classic, said there are no plans for anything like a WoW Token or character boosts, telling players to "get better at the game by playing the game."

Players choose Normal, PvP, Roleplaying or Hardcore rather than picking from a list of realms, and cross-ruleset grouping is not supported; Battlegrounds are the one shared exception. Blizzard's own ruleset post confirms switching means creating a new character in the target ruleset -- "players cannot freely hop between rulesets" -- narrower than Wowhead's earlier Q&A liveblog, which described this only as needing "a character transfer."
A bind-on-pickup Uncommon or Rare dungeon drop grants its appearance to all eligible looters when looted, while an epic raid drop grants it only to the player it binds to.

Familiar quest rewards gain extra choices for different classes and roles -- Mor'ladim's quest chain in Duskwood still offers its two-handed sword but now also grants the Ladimore Heirloom Ring for spellcasters.
World-drop Epic items and drops from rare, non-boss enemies are being improved and expanded with new additions, alongside the dungeon loot rework.
Spellcaster-oriented weapons gain spell damage and healing stats, so a new leveling weapon feels as rewarding to caster specs as it already does for Warriors, Rogues and Hunters.
Weapon Skill still works as it always has, but Blizzard's Deep Dive panel says items now carry less of it per item so it is not always the obvious best choice; new effects that reduce dodge or parry chance can appear on the same item alongside it.
A Basic Campfire holds up to three crafted objects, one per contributing player, sharing a one-hour cooldown between additions; Cooks can craft upgraded campfires that raise the limit to five or ten objects. Wowhead's MMORPG interview writeup adds that a campfire itself lasts 10 minutes before despawning, on top of that hour-long cooldown for adding new objects.
Deep in the Legacy Tree's Resourcefulness branch, the Reagent Economy perk can remove reagent requirements from class abilities, trading some of a character's limited Legacy Points for that convenience.
Sources: Blizzard
Blizzard's Deep Dive panel recap says Legacy Points are shared across all of a character's alts, with each alt spending its own points separately; points earned beyond the launch spending cap flow into a Legacy Reward Track granting cosmetic and prestige rewards, such as the Spectral Bear Cub, without gameplay advantage.
Blizzard's Deep Dive panel recap says Legacy Points come from completing Legacy Challenges such as leveling a specific class or reaching a skill milestone; Icy Veins' fuller list adds exploring, leveling professions, earning PvP ranks, increasing reputations, and completing dungeons or raids.
Blizzard's Deep Dive panel recap names two Legacy Tree perks: Well Rested in the Adventure tree, which raises rested XP gains and the rested XP cap, and Bountiful Harvest in the Profession tree, which increases materials gathered from mining, herbalism or skinning.
Blizzard's beta-live post says "the level cap will be set to 20 and will be raised to 30 later in the beta." Icy Veins had reported the same cap and increase a few days earlier as "after a couple of weeks," per an interview with Associate Production Director Clay Stone and Lead Software Engineer Nora Mills.

Blizzard's What's Next panel recap puts a long-hidden mystery between Mulgore and Desolace, tied to the Shen'dralar, Eldre'Thalas, Dire Maul and the centaur tribes of the region; it does not call it a zone, and Game Informer's write-up counts three new zones without it. Blizzard's later Found Photos recap confirms it as a fresh new area reached south of Desolace through the Valley of Bones.

Blizzard's What's Next recap gives the Riverglades more than 150 new quests across the mid-30s to mid-40s; the later Found Photos recap describes it as roughly the size of Stranglethorn Vale with nearly 200 quests, hubbed at Powderfuse Port and bordering the Burning Steppes, Redridge Mountains, Swamp of Sorrows and Badlands.
