Forever best-in-slot lists, and what one needs first

There are no Forever best-in-slot lists on this page, and that is a statement about World of Warcraft: Forever — launches 2026-11-04; raids open 2026-12-09 rather than about the tool. A best-in-slot list is an argued opinion about gear that people have worn, and nobody has worn any of it.

A list needs three things behind it: an item database, which exists — 9,877 gear records read from Blizzard's own Classic Era item endpoint, the closest published database to this game's; a simulator or a defensible set of stat weights to say why one item beats another; and a tier somebody has played. The other game's lists are not borrowed in the meantime, because they are written for level 70 characters in an item budget and a rating system this game does not have.
