How the Forever Raid Gear Checker will read your night

The same raid audit the other half of this site runs, pointed at World of Warcraft: Forever — launches 2026-11-04; raids open 2026-12-09. The program is finished. What it needs is a raid night to read, and the first ones happen when the raids open.

Then one pasted report will audit every raider in it on one page: empty sockets, cheap gems, how far through a best-in-slot list each person is, and what a single upgrade is worth. Three things arrive first — public logs, which Warcraft Logs files under a zone id this game does not have yet; an enchant catalogue, because an era's enchanting rules are its own and are not borrowed; and a best-in-slot source, which is written after a tier has been played.
